3 Ways That Women Can Help Other Women

Women always need to help one another as much as possible. If we don’t, we run the risk of getting caught up in problems that aren’t important and not dealing with the much larger, crucial issues that we face every day. Plus, we can get a lot more done when working together than if we try to tackle everything alone.

You might think that there isn’t really anything you can do in your own life that helps other women particularly. However, there is always something you can do, and probably a lot more than you think. Here are just some ideas, but there are many more on how to support your fellow sisters.

Don’t Judge

As a woman, you’ll know what it’s like to be judged. You’re judged for your appearance, for your career choices, for your personal choices, your likes and dislikes, and pretty much everything else. And all we’re actually trying to do while this judging is taking place is to live our lives in the way that we want to, and that makes us happy. The way that seems right to us.

In this spirit, one way that all women can help other women is not to judge them. If someone is wearing an outfit that you don’t like or that you would never wear yourself, don’t judge – they like it, even if you don’t. If someone decides to give up their career to have children, or opt to be at the top of their field and never have children, if they wear make-up or they don’t wear make-up, and so on, that’s their choice, and judging is definitely not helpful.

Celebrate Other Women

You are not in competition with other women; the only person you need to think about trying to do better than is your past self. Other than that, it’s a case of celebrating other women when they do something impressive and not tearing them down through envy or because that’s how everyone else is reacting.

Many women keep their achievements to themselves because they are afraid of negative comments. Look around your flexible work space or the store you’re in, or those you’re connecting with on social media, and ask them what they are proud of. You’ll be amazed at the stories you hear, and it will give you the perfect chance to celebrate them properly.

Be A Mentor

If you really want to do something positive to help other women, why not become a mentor and role model for them? This is perhaps the best way a woman can help other women; be the very best you that you can be and show them what is possible. When women have someone to look up to, they will feel inspired, and they will in turn be mentors and role models for other women.

The world can be a difficult place sometimes, and for women, this is truer than it should be. If we can do little things that make a big difference, we can change the world in a positive way. And that is something worth celebrating.
