Artist spotlight: Emily Conroy
Artist bio
I studied art in London before working in the music industry for many years. After relocating to Lancashire in 2016 with my husband and son I reignited my need to ‘make more stuff’ through a local ceramics maker-space. I’ve been doing it at every spare minute ever since. I now create stoneware sculptural forms and functional-ware based upon a love of folk art, vintage design and nature. My work often features subtle-not-subtle references to self, society and the world.
On weekends I can be found hanging out with my husband/son/the cat, wandering the hills or museums, and eating.
