Exploring the boundaries of different media, I transition from still photography to video art and illustration transforming each of my projects into a multi-layered investigation of memory and personal experiences, riddled with references of traditional and contemporary artists.

We know a good artist when we see one, and Emily Victoria is no exception. Emily is a British woman living in Barcelona. She is a painter, drawn to the natural beauty, outdoor culture, and relaxed pace of life by the sea, which is the main inspiration behind her paintings.

Meet Diane Griffin, an avid ceramic artist who creates beautiful handcrafted pieces with a heart-warming story behind them. In this interview I was able to discuss with Diane what it is like to run an online business, which is something she shares some tips about later on in this article.

Tori is based in Florida and creates unique and colourful illustrations that she sells on her Etsy shop in the form of t-shirts, crockery, phone cases, jewellery, prints and much more. She is also working on creating a children’s book which you can read about more below.

Ellie Edwards is a London-based print maker. Inspired by her background in food, her lino prints focus on pastries she has picked up from her local bakery, cocktails she has sipped, and dishes she has eaten at her favourite restaurants. The designs range from croissants to bowls of cacio e pepe to cinnamon buns.

Shailja is a freelance illustrator, based in India, specialising in digital illustration. Her illustrations are inspired mostly by females and nature and combination of both. She also likes to create aesthetic digital artwork with soft colour palettes based on, and not limited to, fashion and food.

We are absolutely OBSESSED with Leanne Lu. Whether it’s her amazing Redefining the C Word article that she wrote for us, or her incredible art, which you can also buy as posters, t-shirts and tote bags (thank goodness). Since lockdown I find myself having a lot more time on my hands for my passions; one of those passions is art, specifically acrylic painting on stretched canvas. It provides a depth of colour and the ability to easily clean materials after use because of its water based properties.

Amy has a love of collecting items that intrigue her, from places such as car boots and charity/ antique shops. She incorporates this into her work through detail and colour composition.

Faustine Aper-Nitche is a 24 year old freelance graphic designer and illustrator, from Pais, France. She has such a vibrant, particular style when it comes to her illustrations (that blue, though), that we couldn’t not add her as an illustrator spotlight.

We are LOVING artist and art-lover Camilla Ambler at the moment.

Camilla’s simple yet touching NHS series, created whilst in lockdown, shows the evolved ways we can ‘shake’, greet and touch each other in this COVID19 world. Camilla also does beautiful and seriously detailed animal drawings that look so realistic they could be a photo.
