5 ASOS Marketplace Boutiques That You Need To Know About

ASOS Marketplace is the perfect place to shop if you’re looking for something a little more unique. Given the wide array of options of ASOS’ main channel it’s important we don’t forget about the smaller brands that add their own personal touch to the products and create something you wouldn’t find anywhere else. The Marketplace brings together a community of designers each with their own story and craft and in this article I will spotlight 5 of these boutiques that you surely don't want to miss out on...

Maria Jovrea

Based in Romania, Maria Jovrea is a brand that has a core focus on sustainability. Using recycled denim and other fabrics, she crafts her collection through the purpose of storytelling and produces pieces that are empowering whilst acting as a recognition of life's inevitable challenges. This boutique has a strong message and the garments which convey this are well-crafted and truly special. It’s no wonder that Maria Jovrea achieved the Best Fashion Designer Award upon completing her University Degree and it’ll be exciting to see what is in store for this designer in 2024!

If you like to stand out from the crowd the sustainable Brooklyn-based brand SAIbysai might be the one for you. With vibrant pieces varying across tops to trousers, the brand takes its own approach to fashion by hand painting its designs onto the fabrics. Giving you not only clothes to wear but simultaneously a piece of art. This experimental approach to fashion can’t be easily forgotten and is definitely a brand to check out.

If you want a brand that exudes luxury then look no further than this Parisian brand. The brand was founded in 2022 and balances between an Urban Parisian style and traditional Ivorian aesthetics. Placing an interest in sustainability, they upcycle their materials whilst crafting the clothing through an artisanal process grounded in timeless approaches - making the pieces even more special than they already are. Kaema is definitely paving its way in the fashion industry and I’ll look forward to seeing their future designs!

Emma Warren

Emma Warren is a brand that definitely gives you that wholesome feeling when looking at their range. Working in a Gloucestershire studio amongst a small team, this independent sustainable embroidery brand has a little something for everyone. With seasonal designs, embroidered dog sweaters and the option to personalize your clothing, it seems this brand is perfect to treat yourself to or even as a gift for a loved one - the only shame being that I didn’t find this brand sooner! Make sure to check them out and I’m sure you’ll find something to buy while you’re there.

After a few too many cold days, at least here in the UK, I’m sure many of us are already planning a break somewhere with less rain and a lot more sun. If that’s the case, the Cypriot brand Kokoaka provides the perfect swimwear for the occasion. With an aim to give women confidence regardless of shape and size, this brand offers a mix of beachwear and activewear

products, all of which are made through sustainable practices with the inclusion of eco-friendly fabrics alongside biodegradable packaging. Once you’ve booked that trip away, make sure to head straight to their website!

Lauren Taylor is a 21 year old final year fashion photography student at Leeds Arts University. Having studied in an area of fashion for the past three years, she wanted to expand her knowledge and have a go at fashion journalism (something which has always interested her). She loves having parties with her friends, but also enjoys a quiet night in binge-watching one of the latest series on Netflix. She is looking to do a masters next year in fashion buying/merchandising
