7 amazing black-owned businesses on Etsy that you should know about

We at The C Word want to show our continued support for some of the best black-owned businesses out there. Now whilst there are hundreds of incredible black-owned businesses in the world, we want to shed some light on some lesser known (but equally as fantastic) businesses on Etsy’s website. Here are just seven of our favourites.

Native-Mix

First up is native-mix, an Etsy shop that sells handmade luxury hair scrunchies and headbands. Their hair products are made from wonderfully vibrant prints and we certainly think they would jazz up just about any outfit. Catch them on Instagram at @nativemixstore or get over to their shop to get buying!

Aftonbypalm

If you’re looking for minimalist, look no further than Aftonbypalm. They sell scandi-style clay ceramics and some pretty groovy affirming greetings cards. Visit their shop to check out what’s on offer.

Lou Lou Art Studio

If it’s prints your after, Lou Lou Art Studio have a cool array of interesting graphic prints based on nature, traveling, music and books. Prints start from as little as £15 and you won’t regret it when your walls are the envy of all your friends. Catch them on Instagram @loulouartstudio.

Puckd Designs

Saffie Pluck, owner of urban wear and accessories brand Pluckd Designs, creates all of their products by hand with reflective yarn. If you’re looking for a hat or gloves to keep you warm this winter, this is the place for you.

Lingua Nigra

Illinois-based brand, Lingua Nigra, sell and make some of the finest organic jewellery around. Their textured rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces are my personal favourite in terms of style, but they have a diverse range of different products and styles on offer on Etsy.

Lolly Kiks

Never has there been a time more apt for businesses selling face masks. Lolly Kiks shop brings back the fun into what is frankly quite a depressing product with a pandemic still spreading around the world. These African-inspired prints jazz up face masks for the better, and bring a little light to the darkness.

Emma Make Studio

We’ve already included a print shop, but we love prints so much, we thought it was only right that we included two. Enter, Emma Make Studio based in Portugal, an Etsy shop that sells arguably the cutest graphic prints with a pastel style hue - my personal favourite is the Dancers in green.
