Don’t Give In - Bulimia

I look at my body as I lay in bed
I can't believe that I am dead.
Bulimia won, and its prize was my life.
Now, I've left my loved ones in anger and strife.

The fever came and took me away.
I couldn't fight another day.
Bulimia's will was strong.
Don't be like me; you must fight on.

Please ignore the voice.
The one that tells you that you have no choice.
Fight on so Bulimia doesn't take over your life and your head.
Don't let it tell you that you are better off dead.

I beg you to come to your senses.
You push people away and put up defences.
That is not the way to go.
But you can fight this, that I know.

Keep using your words to fight.
At the end of the tunnel, there is a light.
Bulimia thrives on secrecy and lies.
Fight until you live and bulimia dies.
