Over six days, Sziget delivered more than 1,000 performances across its diverse range of venues. Headliners on the Main Stage included Charli XCX, Post Malone, FKA Twigs, Kid Cudi, Shawn Mendes and many more. The Main Stage also hosted Sziget Specials – unique performances in between headline sets – including the UK group Queenz, who delivered a spectacular drag show on the final night. The last day saw the island awash in pink as Chappell Roan closed with an unforgettable headline set.

Luvcat

Liverpool-based singer-songwriter Sophie Morgan, who is also known as Luvcat, produced a set on the main stage filled with sultry vocals and vivid lyricism that explored topics of romance, jealousy and revenge.

Luvcat opened her set with ‘Matador’, one of her established hits about a bar in Liverpool called the Kazimier Gardens. Her music has a dark romantic allure and feels as if it belongs in a smoky jazz bar. Luvcat expressed her gratitude to the audience during her set: “This time last year, we were playing to London pubs of a hundred people if we were lucky. This is our first European festival on the main stage.”

The singer’s debut album, Vicious Delicious, is fittingly scheduled for release on Halloween this year, and she played the titular track during her set as well as the unreleased track ‘Blushing’. Luvcat also played ‘He’s my Man’, a self-proclaimed murder ballad about a bored housewife who poisons her husband with arsenic that rose to fame through TikTok.

The Last Dinner Party

The Last Dinner Party played on the main stage before the headliner of the evening, Chappell Roan. Lead singer Abigail Morris looked as if she had stepped out of a pre-raphaelite painting, her long dress dramatically swishing as she moved around the stage. The Last Dinner Party’s debut album Prelude To Ecstasy was released in 2024 and rocketed the band to fame. Most of their setlist came from this album including ‘Caesar on the TV screen’ and ‘Feminine Urge’ which were both well received by the crowd.

Halfway through their set, a QR code was displayed on screen and Abigail Morris urged the crowd to donate whatever they could towards medical care for Palestine.

The band also played some new material including the recently released single ‘This is the Killer Speaking’ from their upcoming album From the Pyre, which stays true to the baroque-pop style of their previous album with added dramatic flair.

Chappell Roan

Chappell Roan closed Sziget Festival 2025 on the main stage with a showstopping performance. The decision to put Chappell Roan’s headline slot on the last day was certainly a wise one, as her set would have been impossible to follow for any artist. The crowd stretched all the way to the back in a sea of pink cowboy hats and glitter – the girls and the gays had certainly turned up in huge numbers for Chappel, I and many had camped out the whole day waiting for her performance.

After The Last Dinner Party’s performance, UK Drag group Queenz took to the stage and provided the perfect intermission while the set was being built. When they left the stage, a fairytale castle had been built on the stage. As Chappell appeared in the doorway of the castle, ‘Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl’ started to play. The whole crowd knew the lyrics, and Chappell Roan’s dynamic stage presence made every song feel incredible. Most of the setlist came from her debut studio album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess was released in 2023 and garnered widespread critical acclaim. She also played her recent single ‘Subway’,  a song that she first debuted live at the New York Governor’s Ball a year ago, about spotting her ex on the New York subway and the loneliness of experiencing heartbreak in a big city.

Her captivating vocals moved seamlessly from her slower ballads like ‘Kalidescope’ and ‘Picture You’ to high-energy, queer-pop hits like ‘Naked in Manhattan’.

A highlight of her set was Chappell teaching the crowd the dance for ‘Hot To Go’ with the whole crowd enthusiastically getting involved. It is no wonder that many people in the crowd cited her set as the reason they bought a festival ticket; seeing Chappell Roan live is an unforgettable experience.
