Quick, Nutritious Meals for Busy Families: More Toddler Meals Reviewed

Writer’s note: Even though these products were gifted to me, all the thoughts and opinions shared here are completely my own. My reviews are based on my personal experience with the products, aiming to give you an honest and unbiased perspective.

What I Tried

I tried three of More Toddler Meals’ freeze-dried products, and was excited to see how they balanced convenience, nutrition and toddler appeal.

I liked that the range offered a variety of flavours and ingredients, rather than sticking purely to the usual ‘safe’ toddler foods.

How to Use It

Each meal is designed to be as fuss-free as possible. Simply add hot water up to the clearly marked fill line on the pouch, using the recommended temperature as a guide on the packaging. Give it a good stir, seal or cover, and leave it to stand for a few minutes so the ingredients can fully rehydrate.

Once it’s ready, stir again to ensure an even texture, and always check the temperature before serving to your toddler. It’s a quick, no-prep option that’s ideal for busy days, travel, or keeping in the cupboard for emergencies.

My Experience & Results

The real test, of course, was my toddler, and overall, these went down really well. I had a quick taste of each myself before serving, just to get a feel for them, and they all tasted fresh, well-balanced, and surprisingly close to something homemade, which definitely gave me more confidence going in.

The Sweet Potato & Aubergine Dhal was a bit of a wildcard, but she took to it better than expected. The gentle spices didn’t seem to put her off, and the soft texture made it easy for her to eat. There was a moment of curiosity at first, but once she got going, she seemed quite happy with it.

The Five Veg Macaroni was the clear favourite. No hesitation, no convincing - she just got stuck in straight away. It’s got that familiar, creamy comfort that toddlers tend to love, and knowing it’s packed with veg feels like a quiet win.

The Super Green Pasta Stars had a slightly slower start. The greener flavour was noticeable, and she was a bit more tentative at first, but she still ate it, just at her own pace. It feels like a good option for gently encouraging a taste for more veg-forward meals over time.

What stood out most was how approachable they all felt from a toddler’s perspective. Nothing was too strong, too textured, or too unfamiliar; it all felt thoughtfully designed for small appetites and developing tastes. And from my side, having something this easy to prepare and store that still gets eaten without a battle is always a win.
