Enhance Your Intimacy and Sexual Expression with Acclaimed Educator Almaz Ohene and Intimacy Coach Oli Lipski

Ever struggled with developing your sexual expression or understanding intimacy? These workshops are just the ticket.

Award-winning writer and sex educator Almaz Ohene and Oli Lipski (AKA The Queer Sensualist) have teamed up to provide you with the workshops you never knew you needed in your life. It’s a match made in sex and intimacy heaven.

Almaz writes and speaks on representation, diversity and sexuality for a range of outlets and brands including BBC Radio 4, British Vogue, Hunger, Refinery29, Stylist and Vice among others. Almaz also writes a sexual wellness column for Female Health & Fertility, a new digital magazine and online hub created to support women and non-binary people affected by gynaecological and reproductive issues.

On the flip side, Oli Lipski is a Sensual Intimacy Coach, Sex Writer, and Pleasure Facilitator. Her Masters in Sexual Dissidence led her to work within the sex tech industry, supporting sex-positive start-ups for over half a decade. With her research and writing, she helps to smash taboos and queer the conversation around sex. Her latest mission is to support individuals and couples through their intimacy issues. Having undertaken trainings in Sex, Love, and Relationship Coaching; Reclaiming Pleasure and Healing Trauma; Creating Conscious Love; and Somatic Attachment Therapy, she guides people toward creating more sensually fulfilling love lives through 1:1 sessions and workshop facilitation.

After hearing all of that, how could you NOT be intrigued by these two powerhouse women?

I know that if you’ve come this fat, you’re curious. So if you want to awaken your experimental side, are looking to move your mindset beyond harmful stereotypes around sexuality, want to get educated on consent, looking to change up the way you approach your sexual pleasure, or want to understand your own body and what you find attractive, these workshops are for you.

Even going beyond personal preference, there’s no doubt that mainstream pop culture is trying to challenge stereotypes around sexuality, gender and much more already (Netflix’s, Sex Education is a great example of this), but there’s still work to be done.

Thankfully, Almaz Ohene has combined her expertise on pleasure and sexuality to help to educate people on how to improve their own experiences and understanding of what intimacy is.

“I developed these courses because people are now thinking a bit harder about how they see themselves sexually, but don’t necessarily know how to go about expressing that to their partners,” says, Almaz, the organiser of the workshop series.

The whole of this month, Oli and Almaz are working together on four bespoke workshops centring on those people in relationships who are looking to spice up their sex life or single people who are looking for tips and tricks if they’re dating.

Workshop 1: Writing Romance (8th November, 7.30pm)

The first workshop called ‘Writing Romance’ starts this week on Wednesday 8th November and it will focus on perfecting the art of storytelling by harnessing personal experiences and practising flexing those fantasy muscles. Think role-play vibes with characters, narrative scripts and even outfits if you fancy it. As one previous workshop attendee comments, “What seemed like it could’ve been very awkward and embarrassing ended up being fun, thought-provoking and exciting! Would recommend it to friends, it was so great to do something different!”

Workshop 2: Cultivating Consent Culture (15th November, 7.30pm)

The second of the November workshops delves deep into the concept of consent. This could be showing your partner that you are consenting to a particular situation with purpose, how to spot issues when trying to navigate consent, what non-consent looks like, and being able to articulate what you want, and more importantly what you don’t want.

Workshop 3: Improving Intimacy Part I (22nd November, 7.30pm)

This workshop gets slightly more scientific, or anatomical on male and female-assigned bodies, gender expression and biological sex. More importantly, it focuses on pleasure points for each of these body types, how to communicate your desires with purpose to drive a more intimate connection and celebrates the joy of experimenting with your partner in the journey. You could find that you introduce a new sexual practice, or erogenous zone into your sexual repertoire as a result!

Workshop 4: Improving Intimacy Part II (29th November, 7.30pm)

This is where things get a bit more exciting. It’s about introspection, leaning into your personal pleasure and preferences, trusting those desires and your partner, and sharing and creating that sexual bucket list together. This could mean ethical pornography, sex toys, or pushing a new sexual boundary. As one previous person stated, “It was a light-hearted but informative session about sex, pleasure and female empowerment.”
