I am sure that whilst your car has been collecting dust during this pandemic, you have seen the changes in the air quality of the environment you live in.

It has been said that as humans we have an innate desire for justice. We also, however, seem to enjoy just watching people fall even when they may not deserve it. What can I say? Humans are complicated. 

In 2018, I was sinking fast. I had hit rock bottom emotionally, spiritually and financially. Flash back to 2016. This was the year that I finished my 25-year marriage, left my marital home, and moved back in my mother’s house.

A couple of my friends are on the coronacoaster with me, but I was on it well before them, they were just at the entrance holding the bags and coats at first.

I have been thinking a lot about body image, self-confidence and how we see ourselves. It’s a huge part of the way we live, what we do and how we show up to the world.

I can say, hand on heart, that my female friendships have saved my life. When my mental health has been at its lowest, my friends have always been the ones to drag me from hell and bring me back to life. They are gentle and kind, tough and empowering, truthful and embracing.

I first heard about this hot topic on the hilarious pop-culture podcast Shameless by Australian duo Michelle Andrews and Zara McDonald.

So, I must admit that there are a couple of things that have come out of the panny D (pandemic) that I have thoroughly enjoyed.
